Bringing Change
Nehemiah Sober Living Inc. is growing faster than we could have ever imagined! We have our 501(c)3 non-profit status and have a devoted board of directors. We are on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of our residents, and are very grateful to be able to serve this often forgotten and abandoned population.
Christian Based Home
Studies over the last decade have proven that faith based programs have a significantly higher success rate than secular programs. Nehemiah Sober Living Inc. is a ministry that came into existence as a result the struggle Linda & Michael Diver experienced with their son's addiction for over a decade. They witnessed and experienced the life changing power of Jesus Christ in their son's life and his addiction actually brought them into saving faith. They now work fervently to share what they have found with others.
Safe Structured Living
Early recovery is a difficult time for those struggling with addiction. Most addicts are estranged from family, have little if any money to get started, no job, and no good options for a place to live. Going back to previous neighborhoods and old "friends" is a recipe for disaster. Our homes provide a safe sober environment. We have rules, curfews, regular drug & alcohol testing, and video surveillance of the outside of the homes. All residents attend a minimum of 4 recovery meetings per week including two Christian based educational classes.
Living Well
We believe that our houses need to be clean, comfortable, and furnished well in order to provide the vision of success and demonstrate how living clean should look. In addition to efficient heating, our homes are air conditioned, have quality beds and linens, laundry areas, and are freshly painted and furnished. We supply all cleaning supplies, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, and hand soap. We also supply coffee!
